It’s officially summertime in Arkansas and that means everyone is looking for outdoor dining options. The Morrilton area has some of the most desirable patios and decks for outdoor dining in Central Arkansas!
Yesterday’s Restaurant and Bar
Yesterday’s Restaurant and Bar has been a part of the Morrilton community since 1983. Local entrepreneurs Mike and Suzan Miller purchased it in 2014 and completely upgraded the inside space adding TVs and more seating. They also jazzed up the patio which now includes a fire pit, a big screen TV, and string lights for that enhanced outdoor dining experience.
Yesterday’s offers a large menu including bar favorites and steaks and every Thursday night it’s all you can eat spaghetti with Petit Jean Sausage!
King Fry’s Food Truck
King Fry’s Food Truck rolled onto the Morrilton food scene in 2020 and quickly became a hot spot for locals. They have a permanent location on HWY 9 Business in the North Plaza Cinema parking lot. They recently added picnic tables with bright red umbrellas for those who want to dine on site and they even have a spot for your four legged friends to hang while you eat!
Their menu includes hand breaded chicken strips, salads, and their famous fusion fries. They are adding new items all the time and keep their menu up to date on their Facebook page.
Cedar Lounge
Cedar Lounge enclosed patio and performance stage.
If you’re looking to enjoy some live music with your dinner or drinks then Cedar Lounge is the spot. They recently added an enclosed patio space complete with a stage where you can find local bands playing pretty much every Friday and Saturday night. They also host Karaoke on Thursdays!
Their menu includes steaks and other bar favorites along with the locally famous “Blue Bonnet” pizza. Follow them on Facebook for specials and the live music schedule.
Point Remove Brewing Company
This craft beer brewery located on Highway 64 just minutes from Petit Jean Mountain and downtown Morrilton opened in 2020 and quickly became one of the most popular patios for outdoor dining in Conway County. The brewery patio and adjacent lawn is family friendly and pet friendly! There is plenty of outdoor seating available on the patio, or guests can bring their own blankets and chairs to spread out on the lawn. They even provide yard games!
You’ll find a number of tasty house-made craft beers available in the taproom and they also make their own Arkansas wine! Petit Jean Meat and cheese board to compliment your drink are always on the menu or enjoy the variety of central Arkansas food trucks they host most weekends. Follow them on Instagram and Facebook for more information.
Petit Jean Coffeehouse
Opened in 2020 right outside the entrance of Petit Jean State Park, Petit Jean Coffeehouse has a beautiful deck spanning the front of the renovated A-frame house they occupy. Inside the coffee house, you can grab a sack lunch for the trail or a cup of Arkansas made Airship Coffee to enjoy on the deck.
Nestled in the trees, a visit to Petit Jean Coffeehouse only enhances your Petit Jean Mountain experience. If you’d like to be first in line for your morning coffee on the deck, they also have a bedroom for rent.
Los Cabos Mexican Grill
If you’re in the mood for mexican food and want to enjoy it al fresco then Los Cabos Mexican Grill is the place for you. They have a large deck with high top tables and they are perched on top of a hill with a great view of Morrilton!
Their menu boasts all your favorite mexican dishes but if you’re looking to try something new we highly recommend the Fajita Petit Jean which features Petit Jean Bacon!
