Be Sure to Attend the Morrilton Eclipse Concert Series!

The Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the “Morrilton Eclipse Concert Series” this April as part of the festivities taking place ahead of the Great North American Eclipse on April 8th. The Concert Series – which will occur over three nights – will feature performances from The Legendary Pacers, the Grammy Award winning country duo The Kendall’s featuring founding member Jeannie Kendall and Carl Acuff, Jr., and Hee Haw star Jana Jae and Friends.

“We are super excited to be hosting the Morrilton Eclipse Concert Series,” said Donnie Crain, Chamber President & CEO. “The Eclipse is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to showcase our community to thousands of visitors - and we really think this concert series in the beautiful, historic Rialto Theater will be lots of fun for both visitors and residents alike.”

The fun kicks off on Friday, April 5th with a concert by The Legendary Pacers, members of the International Rock-A-Billy and Arkansas Entertainers halls of fame. Some of the original rock-n-rollers, The Legendary Pacers play the music of the 50’s the best - because they helped invent it!

The fun continues the evening of April 6th with a show by the Grammy Award-winning country duo The Kendall’s featuring founding member Jeannie Kendall and Carl Acuff, Jr. Jeannie Kendall is a country music treasure with over 30 charted Top 40 hits and three #1 singles - “Heaven’s Just a Sin Away,” “Thank God For the Radio,” and “Sweet Desire.” In 2018, Jeannie was inducted into the North American Country Music Association International Hall of Fame.

The final show of the series will be Jana Jae & Friends on Sunday, April 7th. Known as the “First Lady of Country Fiddle,” Jana Jae and her signature blue fiddle are probably best known for her many performances on the popular TV show, Hee Haw. She is a member of the National Fiddler, Oklahoma Music, National Western Swing, Idaho, and Mid-America Old Time Fiddler’s halls of fame.

Each concert in the series will be held at the historic Rialto Community Arts Center in Downtown Morrilton, starting at 7 pm.  Tickets for each show are $30 plus tax and fees and can be purchased online at https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/morrilton-eclipse-concert-series-3025749.

Support for the Morrilton Area Chamber of Commerce’s Eclipse Concert Series is provided, in part, by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
